We make our watercolours in small batches using the traditional process of hand mulling and using our own binder in which to suspend the pigments. This is a labour of love, but above all it means we can bring out the best of each pigment and ensures we have total control over what goes into each pan of paint. Just five simple and natural ingredients go into our binder: Distilled water, gum arabic crystals, vegetable glycerine, honey and essential oils. Consequently, you get a purer colour and you’ll find a little paint goes a long way.
